Join us on Friday September 18 for happy hour and enjoy a complementary cheese plate with your purchase of a bottle of wine or a couple of beers. We’re also thrilled to feature live music by Cassie Keenum from 6 – 8 pm.
Cassie Keenum grew up singing in the church in Kentucky. After college, she moved to Gainesville where a friend convinced her to go try singing at a local blues jam. She first stepped onto the stage three years ago and she hasn’t left it since.
Cassie’s powerful, soulful voice is most often compared to Janis Joplin. Growing up, she was heavily influenced by Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Ella Fitzgerald. Cassie plays guitar and loves to sing blues, soul, pop, with a dash of classic rock thrown in for good measure. Cassie is the founder of the Women Musicians of Gainesville group (currently over 70 members strong) and is an active member and director for the North Central Florida Blues Society. She currently performs as a solo artist in the greater Gainesville area.
